Catherine Pasmore Named Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame

Tampa, FL—June 18, 2009— Competition in the Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series really began to heat up in the month of May. Warmer weather and the increased number of summer horse shows attracted more riders to the competition rings for the Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series, and made this month’s battle for Rider of the Month a very exciting one!
With Cavalor’s support, the Series honors one rider each month as the Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series Rider of the Month. The honor goes to the one rider who earns the most points on one horse in Series competition that month.
With 410 points earned aboard her mount Callabonna Z, Catherine Pasmore of Whitehall, VA, was named as Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for the month of May. Catherine competes in the Series’ East Conference junior division, and was victorious with Callabonna Z during the Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series class held at the Lexington Spring Encore, in Lexington, KY as well as the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Show in North Salem, NY. She also finished second at the Devon Horse Show in Devon, PA .
“For the month of May, Catherine truly represented what the Cavalor Rider of the Month award stands for,” said Philippe Collard, President of Cavalor, Inc. “Her performances in the ring with Callabonna Z were consistent and the pair proved that their success was not fleeting, but rather the result of much hard work and determination.”
The Cavalor Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series saw competition at 14 events during the month of May, and will see classes at more than 100 horse shows before the Series culminates in the Year-End Championships at the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament featuring the 126th National Horse Show in Syracuse, NY, in October.
The Series hosts separate divisions for junior and amateur-owner riders in two Conferences—the East Conference and the West Conference. Series standings are used to help determine junior and amateur-owner entries for the National Horse Show.
In the overall standings through May, Alex Parrish and Kadorijke led the amateur-owner standings in the East Conference while Reed Kessler and Ice D’Ancoeur led in the junior division for the second straight month. In the West, Hannah Selleck led in the amateur-owner division with Tosca for the second month, while Taylor Siebel led in the junior division with Thunder-Ball.
