Franklin, TN – September 16, 2009 – FarmVet is please to present Erin Alberda, our newest sponsored rider!
Erin Alberda has been riding as a Grade 3 Para Equestrian since 2006. Para athletes are separated into Grades based on their level of disability. Her goals include the 2010 World Equestrian Games, which will be the first time Para Dressage is included in the event, as well as the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
To date, Alberda’s greatest accomplishments include winning triple gold medals as part of the US Team in 2006 at the Pacific Rim International CPEDI4*, being long listed for the US Paralympic Team in 2008, and coming in 4th overall at Nationals this year, with her new horse, Delectari.
Alberda earned her FEI certificate of capability this year, which is the first step towards going to the World Equestrian Games next year. Major competitions she will be competing at in the near future will be a CPEDI3* in California in March and Selection Trials for the US Team in June. Right now, Alberda’s focus is on training with Delectari, clinics, and schooling shows until the pair hits the road in early spring next year!
