Winnie, the FarmVet customer service dog, passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon with her parents by her side. She has been with FarmVet since we opened our doors 10 years ago. Before FarmVet, she helped Christian Currey load thousands of cattle onto trucks for Currey Cattle Company. Christian remembers her nipping at their heels, herding them up into the trucks, and letting them know she was the boss. “She was one tough lady,” Christian says.
As Winnie got older, she decided an inside job might suit her better, so she got the job of helping Helen Blanchard in customer service. She showed up for work every morning, and stayed until the last person left the office. She never missed a day.
Winnie will be missed by everyone here at the office, as well as Christian’s family who loved her dearly.
